Invoices and estimates, with your whole team on them.
Heavy Duty writes the invoice, makes the PDF, sends it, and keeps track of what is unpaid. On the web it does that for a team: several people, one set of documents, and roles that decide who can change what.
Free while in beta. Sign in with a link sent to your email — no password to choose.
For teams
The part the app cannot do
An app on one phone is one person. An organisation is the office manager who writes the invoices, the estimator in the truck, and the bookkeeper who is only ever allowed to look.
Four roles, enforced
A role is not a label on a screen — the server checks it on every request.
- OwnerBilling and everything else, including deleting the organisation.
- AdminEverything except billing and deleting the organisation.
- MemberCreate and edit documents, clients and items. No team management.
- ViewerRead and export only. Nothing they open can be changed.
Invite by email
Send an invitation, pick the role. They open the link and they are in — nothing to install, no account to create first.
- Change a role, or remove someone, whenever you need to
- An invitation expires on its own if it is never used
- The last owner cannot be removed by accident
Everything is on the record
Sent, paid, accepted, declined, invited, removed — the activity log says who did it and when.
- Each document carries its own timeline
- Filter the org’s history by action or by person
- Run several businesses inside one organisation
What it does
The whole job, from the estimate to the money
Everything below is in the product today. Nothing here is a plan.
Documents that add up
Line items, quantities, taxes, discounts, deposits and partial payments. The totals are computed by the same money code the iPhone app uses, so an invoice is the same amount on both.
Estimates that become invoices
Send an estimate, mark it accepted or declined, and convert the accepted one into an invoice that keeps its history.
A real PDF
Every document renders to a US Letter PDF you can download, print or attach — with your numbering, your terms and the template you chose.
Clients and a catalog
Keep the people you bill and the work you sell. Reuse a saved item and its price instead of retyping it.
More than one business
Each company has its own numbering, logo, tax rates, payment options, default texts and follow-up schedule.
A dashboard that answers one question
Invoiced, paid, outstanding, overdue — and which clients and services actually earn. Mixed currencies are marked approximate, never quietly added together.
Out on a job? Heavy Duty for iPhone makes the same documents with no connection at all.

Questions
Before you sign up
- What is Heavy Duty?
- Invoicing for people who do the work. Write an invoice or an estimate, send it as a PDF, and see at a glance what has been paid and what is late.
- Do I need the iPhone app?
- No. The web platform stands on its own — everything from writing a document to sending it happens in the browser. The Heavy Duty app for iPhone is for the half of this job that happens on a job site, and it works with no connection at all.
- How do people join my team?
- You invite them by email and choose their role. They open the link, and they are in your organisation — no account to set up first, no password to agree on. You can change a role or remove someone at any time, and every change is written to the activity log.
- What does it cost?
- Nothing while Heavy Duty is in beta. No card, nothing to cancel. Pricing has not been set; when it is, we will say so before anyone is charged. See pricing.
- Who can see my documents?
- Only the people you invite. Documents, clients and items belong to your organisation, and each member’s role decides what they can do with them — a viewer can read and export, and nothing more. What we collect and why is in the privacy policy.
- How do I get help?
- Write to support@getheavyduty.com. Common questions are answered in the FAQ.
